TOURS WELCOME
THE MANSION ON THE HILL WELCOMES TOUR GROUPS
The Keith County Historical
Society, through its efforts, allows visitors to look back in history and see
what an original 1887 Victorian mansion looks like. A small museum is found in
the west room and on the 3rd floor. The mansion’s first floor is
handicapped accessible with a ramp outside on the north and west side. Also a
one-room schoolhouse on the mansion grounds, constructed in 1904 and moved to
this site, allows visitors to look back to the early days of rural Nebraska
education. The Mansion is open to the public from Memorial Day until the middle
of September. The Mansion hours are 9:00 – 12:00 and 1:00-4:00 Tuesday thru
Saturday and 1:00 – 4:00 on Sunday. Closed Monday.
Advanced notice of a tour
visit could result in an adjustment to these hours to accommodate the schedule
that tour groups are following. Also off-season tours would be possible on
request.
Admission cost for tour groups will be Adults $2.00. Children 5 to 12 $1.00 and under age 5 free. Special rates for school groups.

Ogallala's Mansion on the Hill is located at the junction of Spruce Street and 10th Street. Bus parking is recommended on 10th Street below the Mansion. Smaller tour vans and vehicles can park in the parking lot north of the Mansion.
